Another Grayson Moment

Once again, he makes me laugh. I was on the computer trying to find him games to play on-line. He was sitting on my lap and so I started pretending to punch him in the kidneys saying "body blow, body blow". Then I proceeded to tell him that there used to be a boxing video game when I was a little girl that used to say that. Then he says "They didn't have video games in the 90's." Then I said "Yes they did!" Then, the little smart alec said, "Was it dusty in your town?" I just looked at him and said, "Do you think that I lived in the pioneer days, with wagons and carriages." And now as I'm typing this up, he is once again taking over my lap and says "I miss the good old days." I said, "the good old days?" He says "ya! the good old days when I didn't have to go to school". He kills me!

"DID YOU HEAR THAT?"

Okay, I am not going to use any names to protect the innocent but flatulent sole. I have to share this story because we didn't tape it and if we had, it would have won the Grand Prize on AFV. We had our Evening in Excellence on Wed the theme was the Oscar Awards, but we called them the Edda's because it means goal driven or something to the affect of goals, and it was going really well. (I am laughing my butt off right now thinking about it :-D Everyone was dressed in formal dresses and we had the red carpet and all, it was awesome. We had a guest speaker that was wonderful, and the girls did great with their acceptance speeches, it was just a fun and spiritual night. I told the PP leader who was our MC that I would like to say a few words if we had time and she announced me. I went up to the podium and said, "Wow! I thought you girls were going to be long winded", and that's when it happened. A sweet little soul on the back row FARTED! On the metal chairs and so it was so loud and everyone heard it :-D . I couldn't go on. I was laughing so hard tears were streaming down my face. And, every time I looked at certain people, who were also laughing hysterically, I lost it again. I had purchsed little oscars online and after it was all over I gave, the gassy one, an oscar for the best comedy. I didn't realized that it happended right after I said that I thought the girls were going to be "long winded", someone pointed that out to me later. Which made me loose it even more, I was a mess! It was the best night ever!!! :-D

Hunting for Turkeys

Okay. We weren't really hunting for turkeys. We just went shooting. Thanksgiving was a lot of fun in St. George this year. We hung out with half of the Bailey Clan. We decided that we didn't want to be stuck in the kitchen all day, so we were going out. But, the place in Mesquite was gross, which we found out the night before when we stopped there on the way to the condo. And, most of the places in St. George were'nt really doing a buffet thing. So we went to Chuck-a-Rama, and it was pretty good. I leaned over to Sylvia as we were leaving and said, "This is the best part!", and we walked out without having to clean a thing. It was really nice. Went 4-wheeling and saw some movies. I spent most of the time reading "The Red Tent". I'm still not sure if I liked it or not. I'm on the fence with that one. Everyone had a lot of fun though and the kids didn't want to come home, because that meant that they had to go back to school. Grayson is having some seperation issues and we are going to try to be better at helping him through them instead of doing exactly what they say not to do by telling them to "Grow Up!" This is why I should become a psychologist! Then I can't know how to react to struggles and not screw up, like I'm doing now.

Twilight the movie

We had "Girls Night Out!" last night to see "Twilight". I set my expectations low, knowing that it would not be exactly like the book, and I was pleasantly surprised. I give it a thumbs up. And I get to go again tonight with Spencer's office!!! Yay Me!

Grayson's Corner: I think I may have to do a Grayson's corner now because he says the funniest things. I was taking him to Daddy's office so that he could hang out until closing time and we pulled up to the office and he says "I've changed my mind, I just want to go home." I'm sitting there saying "Are you kidding me!" He looks at me and says "Geez Mom, can't a man change his mind?"

Jam

Since this is my journal and I was going through some photos I had on my phone I thought I should add a picture so that everyone could laugh at me. Strawberries were on sale one day a few months back. Spencer loves homemade Strawberry Jam. Whenever we are having pancakes or rolls he always has to sing that one song that starts out "Jam, Oooh Jam" (can't remember who sings it). and if the kids ask or it he makes them sing it too. Anyways, so it was on sale and I thought I'll buy some and make some jam and surprise him! So I followed the recipe, and I had a TON of strawberries so while one batch was cooking, I was blend more up and kept looking over to the cooking batch. It hadn't started to boil so I was watching it closely. Then when I looked away to focus on the blending batch, the cooking batch started to boil and it really took off. There was strawberry jam from here to kingdom come. It was a huge and sticky mess. It took a picture with my phone and emailed it to Spencer telling him that I did it all for him. I must really love him!

School

Well, I took my last final on Monday and I am done until January, when I will only take math. This semester was really hard on me. I actually got an "A" in my MAT092, and I got a "B" in ENG101. I feel really bad about the English class, it was kind of on the back burner because the math was so tough. I would spend Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and sometimes Thursday on math and then try to hurry to research and write a 1500 word essay in the next couple of days and hand it in on Monday. I'm sad about the "B" because I was a straight "A" student up until now. Of course I'm not including Weber State because I was more interested in the social aspect of school. But post kids I was a straight "A" student until now. I knew it wouldn't last, I keep wondering what I'm going to do when the tests aren't open book, open note tests. I guess we shall see, but for now I'm done and I survived MAT092.
