Another Grayson Moment
Once again, he makes me laugh. I was on the computer trying to find him games to play on-line. He was sitting on my lap and so I started pretending to punch him in the kidneys saying "body blow, body blow". Then I proceeded to tell him that there used to be a boxing video game when I was a little girl that used to say that. Then he says "They didn't have video games in the 90's." Then I said "Yes they did!" Then, the little smart alec said, "Was it dusty in your town?" I just looked at him and said, "Do you think that I lived in the pioneer days, with wagons and carriages." And now as I'm typing this up, he is once again taking over my lap and says "I miss the good old days." I said, "the good old days?" He says "ya! the good old days when I didn't have to go to school". He kills me!

"DID YOU HEAR THAT?"
Okay, I am not going to use any names to protect the innocent but flatulent sole. I have to share this story because we didn't tape it and if we had, it would have won the Grand Prize on AFV. We had our Evening in Excellence on Wed the theme was the Oscar Awards, but we called them the Edda's because it means goal driven or something to the affect of goals, and it was going really well. (I am laughing my butt off right now thinking about it :-D Everyone was dressed in formal dresses and we had the red carpet and all, it was awesome. We had a guest speaker that was wonderful, and the girls did great with their acceptance speeches, it was just a fun and spiritual night. I told the PP leader who was our MC that I would like to say a few words if we had time and she announced me. I went up to the podium and said, "Wow! I thought you girls were going to be long winded", and that's when it happened. A sweet little soul on the back row FARTED! On the metal chairs and so it was so loud and everyone heard it :-D . I couldn't go on. I was laughing so hard tears were streaming down my face. And, every time I looked at certain people, who were also laughing hysterically, I lost it again. I had purchsed little oscars online and after it was all over I gave, the gassy one, an oscar for the best comedy. I didn't realized that it happended right after I said that I thought the girls were going to be "long winded", someone pointed that out to me later. Which made me loose it even more, I was a mess! It was the best night ever!!! :-D

Hunting for Turkeys

Okay. We weren't really hunting for turkeys. We just went shooting. Thanksgiving was a lot of fun in St. George this year. We hung out with half of the Bailey Clan. We decided that we didn't want to be stuck in the kitchen all day, so we were going out. But, the place in Mesquite was gross, which we found out the night before when we stopped there on the way to the condo. And, most of the places in St. George were'nt really doing a buffet thing. So we went to Chuck-a-Rama, and it was pretty good. I leaned over to Sylvia as we were leaving and said, "This is the best part!", and we walked out without having to clean a thing. It was really nice. Went 4-wheeling and saw some movies. I spent most of the time reading "The Red Tent". I'm still not sure if I liked it or not. I'm on the fence with that one. Everyone had a lot of fun though and the kids didn't want to come home, because that meant that they had to go back to school. Grayson is having some seperation issues and we are going to try to be better at helping him through them instead of doing exactly what they say not to do by telling them to "Grow Up!" This is why I should become a psychologist! Then I can't know how to react to struggles and not screw up, like I'm doing now.

Twilight the movie
We had "Girls Night Out!" last night to see "Twilight". I set my expectations low, knowing that it would not be exactly like the book, and I was pleasantly surprised. I give it a thumbs up. And I get to go again tonight with Spencer's office!!! Yay Me!
Grayson's Corner: I think I may have to do a Grayson's corner now because he says the funniest things. I was taking him to Daddy's office so that he could hang out until closing time and we pulled up to the office and he says "I've changed my mind, I just want to go home." I'm sitting there saying "Are you kidding me!" He looks at me and says "Geez Mom, can't a man change his mind?"

Jam

Since this is my journal and I was going through some photos I had on my phone I thought I should add a picture so that everyone could laugh at me. Strawberries were on sale one day a few months back. Spencer loves homemade Strawberry Jam. Whenever we are having pancakes or rolls he always has to sing that one song that starts out "Jam, Oooh Jam" (can't remember who sings it). and if the kids ask or it he makes them sing it too. Anyways, so it was on sale and I thought I'll buy some and make some jam and surprise him! So I followed the recipe, and I had a TON of strawberries so while one batch was cooking, I was blend more up and kept looking over to the cooking batch. It hadn't started to boil so I was watching it closely. Then when I looked away to focus on the blending batch, the cooking batch started to boil and it really took off. There was strawberry jam from here to kingdom come. It was a huge and sticky mess. It took a picture with my phone and emailed it to Spencer telling him that I did it all for him. I must really love him!

School
Well, I took my last final on Monday and I am done until January, when I will only take math. This semester was really hard on me. I actually got an "A" in my MAT092, and I got a "B" in ENG101. I feel really bad about the English class, it was kind of on the back burner because the math was so tough. I would spend Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and sometimes Thursday on math and then try to hurry to research and write a 1500 word essay in the next couple of days and hand it in on Monday. I'm sad about the "B" because I was a straight "A" student up until now. Of course I'm not including Weber State because I was more interested in the social aspect of school. But post kids I was a straight "A" student until now. I knew it wouldn't last, I keep wondering what I'm going to do when the tests aren't open book, open note tests. I guess we shall see, but for now I'm done and I survived MAT092.
Go Cards!!!

We took the kids to the Monday Night Football game against the 9ers. We all had a great time, and the kids are getting better at wanting to stay at games. Last year I took Grayson to a hockey game and by the time we drove all the way down to the US Airways center, got our dinner and sat down he said "Can we go now?" I was about ready to throw him out on the ice and let the players knock some sense into him. When we would take them to Sun's basketball games they would do the same. Last night we actually stayed until there was only 7 minutes left in the game and made it home just in time to see the end, and the Cardinals win! Another side note, Grayson used to get mad when Spencer and I would go the the Sun's games and not take him because it was the "Sun's" game and he is the "son"!
I had been sneezing all day and thought that my allergies were running wild. I woke up this morning and had a sinus infection. Spencer came home and took care of the kids for lunch and took Brenna back to the office with him. Margaret put her to work while she was there and I'm sure she was in heaven. Grayson stayed home with me. I was in bed all day long and he came up after eating lunch and said "let me know if you need anything." They are good kids!

For The Best Mommy Ever
I had a bad day the other day. Algebra is killing me and the kids keep telling EVERYONE that I never play with them, "she's always doing homework." So basically everyone knows what a terrible mother I am. Well I had a bad night a couple of days ago and broke down and apologized to everyone for not being a better mom. The next day when we got home from school, Brenna said that she had something for me in her back pack. Usually it's something for me to sign, so I didn't think anything of it. She pulled out some notebook paper that was folded. On the front it said "For The Best Mommy Ever", then inside is what you see above. (Notice that she only says I'm "good" at school. It's true! Not the best mommy ever, the "good" part. I think that maybe she did this to get her own spotlight on the blog. Just kidding! She is always writing little notes to everyone in the family. Telling us how wonderful we are and how much she loves us. She is a tender heart.

Algebra
I am loosing it!!! I now look at the clock and see 2:10, but what I think is 2 will go into 10 5 times. I look at license plates and try to figure out if ABC=597. I'm loosing my mind!!! I'm no math genius, however I am getting a "B", for now 8-| One more chaper to go and then my final. We shall see!?

What the?
Not to spotlight Grayson in this blog but he is always saying things that make me laugh. Grayson is stuck at home with me today because he has the dreaded "Pink Eye!" So he is sitting here bored out of his mind. He was playing with his stuffed animal "Pokemon" and the stuffed animal's ear touched his eye. He asked where the [Lysol] spray was and I told him he needed to be careful, to which he replied, "Sheesh, some people don't understand the classics." What the? I guess that's what you get when cartoons are the babysitter right!

You Wish!
Grayson was doing his math homework and he is really good at math. I said to him, "maybe you can tutor me in my math". He looked at me and said, "I don't know how to do your math". I told him that some day he will learn how to do my math and he replied, "I'm not going to learn any more math", and I replied, "You Wish!" and he gave me the look.

Twilight
November 21st!!! This is the new date for the release of "Twilight" the movie. I finally figured out how to add music to my blog page. Thanks Cody :-)
The music I am using is, of course, from Stephenie's playlist for the books. "Congratulations" is a song I'm sure was inspired by Jacob. And as you all know, I am NOT a Jacob fan, but I LOVE this song. So there you go. See you at the movies!!!
P.S. Any Math majors out there? As I told you before, I am an idiot when it comes to math. I am struggling with a few things. I told Spencer to not expect straight "A's" this semester. I am hoping that one of these days I will find the switch and the light in my head will flash on and I will be a Math Whizzzz! Pray for me :-\

BREAKING DAWN
I woke up at 4am Friday morning, because of course I couldn't sleep. And didn't go to sleep again until Saturday around 10:30. I would like to personally give a shout out to the makers of Amp and Red Bull for making this weekend possible. We had an AWESOME time in St. George. Laughing and giggling. For the most part we sat in the living room together, but little by little people moved in and out. Going to read by themselves or to take a nap. I had already read the first chapter over the Internet and at the back of Eclipse so I began in Chapter 2, knowing full well that I was the SLOWEST reader on the face of the earth. And I was correct. Even Kelly who had had a four hour nap the first night and took a few cat naps Saturday, still finished the book before me. And I was able to accomplish what I set out to do. I wanted to finish the book before I came home and I did that at 9:30 pm Saturday night. It was fun to be sitting there and someone would "Oooooo", or scream or jump up and run out and then scream. We had a blast!!! Can't wait for the movie to come out. I hope it is true to form. We had so much fun, but wished that we could have had just one more day to just talk and laugh and shop. It was definitely worth the trip to experience it together.

Brenna

Brenna will be baptized on July 19th. She is excited to get baptized, but a little upset that it is on her birthday. She doesn't think she will have enough time to play with her presents if she has to worry about going to her baptism.

Me!
As for me. I've gone back to school, only two classes per semester. I am a straight "A" student, for now, but I have a math class coming up in the Fall, so I'm not holding my breath. Spence is going to be my tutor, so if I fail I will, of course, blame him. I ran a half marathon in January, and will never do that again! I have been the Relief Society president for the past two years and they just moved me to Young Women's president. No rest for the wicked!!! My MS is under control, no new lesions :-) (knock, knock, knock)!!! I love being an Arizonan. I feel at home here.
And last but not least, I am OBSESSED with the "Twilight" series!!! It consumed my life when I was reading the books. I ignored my family, I didn't take care of the house or cooking. Spence would tell you that I've never taken care of the cooking, but it was really bad while I was reading the books. It took me about a week and a half to get through all three. It would have been faster if I didn't have my husband and kids bugging me with wanting to spend time with them :-| Spence calls me a dork because I am so obsessed with it. I'm fine with that! I also read The Host, which is also a great book. While Spence was at scout camp I stayed up until 3am two night in a row and finished it. Stephenie is amazing! I just can't put her books down. A few friends are meeting in St. George to get her last one Aug. 2nd at midnight. We even designed our own shirts! Again, Spence tells me I need to get a life. He just doesn't understand. I actually wrote my own chapter from Breaking Dawn (the last book not out yet). I wanted to let some friends, that are Jacob lovers, to know how it's really going down.

Spence

Spencer moved from Young Men's president to 1st counselor in the bishopric. I'm not sure if he's decided which one is more.
The practice is doing well. He doesn't miss the snow at all, happy to be an Arizonan.
Initial Testing
For you SpongeBob lovers out there, you will recognize "In my own Dojo" :-)
I was convinced last night that I need a blog and so here I am.
This is a test!
